Living with urinary leaking, urgency, or bowel issues can feel frustrating and isolating, but you do not have to manage it alone.

We’d love to help you feel confident and free in your daily routine. We specialize in treating a variety of conditions related to bladder & bowel dysfunction, including:

  • Urinary leaking

  • Urinary urgency or frequency

  • Interstitial cystitis (painful bladder syndrome)

  • Difficulty emptying the bladder

  • Nocturia (frequent nighttime urination)

  • Constipation

  • Irritable bowel syndrome

  • Fecal/gas Leaking

  • Chronic constipation or straining

  • Hemorrhoids/anal fissures

  • Rectal pain or heaviness

  • Incomplete bowel emptying

Are you planning your whole day around your bathroom trips?

Urinary and bowel dysfunction can be incredibly tricky to deal with; we get it. You may be peeing “just in case”, sprinting to the bathroom the minute you put your keys in the door when you get home from work, wearing only black leggings, and perpetually wearing a pad in your underwear. We’d love to help you return to a life where you don't need access to a bathroom or multiple pairs of underwear at all times.

What to expect at Purple Physical Therapy

Every session is 60 minutes, one-on-one with Dr. Sheron. You will see the same provider at every visit, which means your treatment plan is always evolving based on what's actually happening with your body, not starting from scratch each time.

Treatment is a blend of hands-on manual therapy, movement, breathwork, and individualized exercise. We look at your whole body, not just the area that hurts, because pelvic floor symptoms rarely have just one source.

We also offer both in-home and in-clinic appointments, so you can choose the setting that feels most comfortable and accessible to you.

If you have questions before booking or want a sense of what treatment might look like for you, we're happy to talk through that when you reach out.

Frequently Asked Questions about Bowel & Bladder Health

  • For many people, pelvic floor PT doesn't just manage symptoms, it resolves them. Leaking, urgency, constipation, and similar issues are often caused by dysfunction in the pelvic floor muscles, connective tissue, or nervous system, all of which are treatable. The goal at Purple PT is always to find the root cause of what's happening and address it directly, not just give you strategies to cope with symptoms indefinitely.

  • It is not too late. We see patients who have been dealing with leaking or urgency for years, sometimes decades, and still make significant progress. The length of time you've had symptoms doesn't determine whether treatment can help. What matters is identifying what's driving them and addressing it with the right approach.

  • It's common, but common is not the same as inevitable or untreatable. Leaking after childbirth is one of the most successfully treated conditions in pelvic floor PT and postpartum PT. You don't have to plan your life around bathrooms, wear pads as a precaution, or avoid activities you love. There are real, effective solutions and we'd love to help you find yours.

  • It varies depending on how long you've had symptoms, what's causing them, and how your body responds to treatment. That said, many people notice meaningful changes within the first few sessions. Dr. Sheron will give you a realistic picture of what to expect at your evaluation and will track your progress throughout so your plan is always moving in the right direction.
